Full Details

The need for professional, accurate screening of prospective employees is derived from the needs of the business and the industry. Whilst the SIA investigate the criminality and identity of prospective employees, they do not check their personality or work ethics or in deed right to work..........................           There are essentially four driving forces at work:-

i) The perceived reputation of the security company from the perspective of its customers. Clearly most security companies would strive for a reputation of a reliable, efficient, professional service. This can only be achieved when the people it employs are of the right calibre and screening is crucial in meeting this need.

ii) It is a requirement of the insurance companies that screening is carried out.

iii) The security of the company relies heavily on the effectiveness of the screening procedures. No security company would wish to employ people who can not be relied upon to maintain confidentiality etc.

iv) The need to meet the requirements of SIA ACS & ISO 9001:2008
