Summary

The course provides a work-based qualification for people employed as safety stewards. It is suitable for staff working in a range of sports and other events where it will be necessary to safeguard the welfare of spectators, colleagues and other people. It is aimed also at those currently working as stewards and seeking recognition for their skills as well as those seeking employment as an event steward.

Full Details

The course provides a comprehensive introduction to crowd and event management and outlines the principles of spectator safety. It also explores team working, health and safety, emergency procedures and conflict management. The NVQ level 2 in Spectator Safety is recognised by: The Football Licensing Authority (FLA) and The Football Safety Officers Association (FSOA).

• C211 - Monitor spectators and deal with crowd problems
